Before Your Peel: How to Prepare

To ensure your skin is in the best condition and to maximise results:

  • Avoid waxing, depilatory creams, or laser hair removal on the area 5–7 days before.
  • Pause strong actives such as retinol, tretinoin, AHAs, BHAs, or benzoyl peroxide for 3 days before (unless medically advised otherwise).
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear SPF daily.
  • Come to your appointment with clean skin if possible.
  • Let our team know if you are using any prescription skincare or have had recent cosmetic treatments.

Your consultation will determine suitability and the best way to prepare based on your skin type and goals.

What to Expect During the Treatment

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed, and the peel is applied in one or two layers, depending on your skin’s tolerance. You may experience a light tingling or warmth; this is normal and settles quickly.

The peel stays on the skin for several minutes before being removed. The treatment usually takes 30 minutes, making it perfect as a lunchtime refresh.

After Your Peel: What Happens Next

Following a Blue Peel Radiance, most clients experience:

  • Mild redness or tightness for a few hours.
  • Light flaking or peeling from day 2–4 (not always).
  • A noticeable glow as the skin renews.

To support healing:

  • Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 daily.
  • Avoid excessive heat, exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
  • Skip exfoliants, retinol, and active skincare for several days.
  • Moisturise regularly and allow any flaking to shed naturally.
  • Do not pick or peel the skin.
