Dermal fillers are a non-surgical, recovery-time-free solution for adding volume to areas of skin, including the lips, cheeks, chin, and under-eye (tear trough) areas.

At Bromsgrove Dental Specialists, dermal fillers are administered by doctors with years of experience administering medical aesthetics treatments.

Fillers replace lost hyaluronic acid supplies to the skin, which deplete with age. Environmental aggressors such as sun damage and smoking can also cause skin suppleness and volume loss. Our doctors and dentists will carefully administer the fillers to complement your skin and enhance your unique facial characteristics.

The Benefits of Dermal Fillers

  • Convenient and predictable alternative to surgery: Dermal fillers can be administered in as little as 30 minutes. When performed by healthcare professionals (such as our doctors and dentists), they are a safe and predictable means of reintroducing volume and hyaluronic acid hydration to your skin.
  • No recovery time: There is no need to take out any time for recovery following treatment. There is minimal interruption to your routine, apart from some very minor bruising and swelling for up to 7 days after treatment.
  • Fully customisable: Our doctors and dentists will fully customise treatment to address the areas of skin most affected by loss of skin volume. They will use their in-depth knowledge of injection techniques to achieve a result that complements your whole face.
  • A natural solution: Dermal fillers simply reintroduce an essential, naturally occurring substance into the skin – hyaluronic acid. This natural substance will visibly smooth, plump and hydrate your skin, giving a more youthful complexion.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

We understand that choosing the right dental treatment can come with many questions. To help you feel informed and confident in your care, we’ve answered some of the most commonly asked questions about this treatment. Our friendly team is always here to help if you need further information.

Is treatment painful?

A numbing cream is used to anaesthetise the area before administering treatments. You will feel slight pressure during treatment, and some minor swelling and bruising are normal following treatment.

Which parts of the face can be treated with dermal fillers?

Volume can be lost at multiple sites across the face; dermal fillers can return volume (and, in turn, skin suppleness) to the following sites:

  • Tear troughs (under-eye circles).
  • Lips – the lips can be lifted and plumped with dermal fillers.
  • Nasolabial folds – deep folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
  • Chin creases.
  • Restore (or add) volume in the cheek area.

Dermal fillers can also be beneficial in the following ways:

  • Re-shape the angle of the chin.
  • Nose (fillers can alter the tip of the nose).
  • Improve the symmetry and profile of the whole face.

How long do dermal fillers last for?

Hyaluronic acid fillers can last between 6 and 9 months. During this time, the body naturally breaks down the fillers.

We recommend top-up treatments to maintain the results. Your doctor at Bromsgrove Dental Specialists can also recommend skincare products that complement your treatment.

Dentures or implants — which is right for you? 🦷

When it comes to replacing missing teeth, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer.

Dentures and implants are both excellent treatment options — they’re just very different.

• Dentures are removable and can be a more cost-effective way to replace multiple teeth at once. When designed well, they can be very effective.

• Implants are usually fixed solutions, offering stability and a feel closer to natural teeth.

• We also offer implant-retained dentures — a hybrid option that “clicks” securely into place for added stability.

The right choice depends on your needs, your goals, and your circumstances.

Our job is to guide you through the options clearly and honestly so you can make the decision that feels right for you 🤍

If you’re unsure which route to take, book a consultation and let’s talk it through.

With detailed planning, we can remove the affected teeth, place dental implants (usually a minimum of four), and fit a fixed bridge — all in a single day.

For the right cases, it means walking out with a secure, natural-looking smile in a very short space of time — restoring comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

A complete smile transformation, without the long wait 🤍

“When I first came in, I was a jittering wreck.”

Rosalind came to us with a badly infected upper right molar and the emotional weight that comes with losing a tooth — especially one so visible.

Through clear explanations, complete transparency on costs and timelines, and a calm, gentle approach throughout, we were able to place two upper right implants and restore her smile.

Today, her implants look and feel like natural teeth — and more importantly, her confidence has been fully restored.

Feeling safe, heard, and cared for is just as important as the clinical result
